The European Union Police Services Training (EUPST II) programme together with Strategic Expertise International (SEI), Police Scotland, the Scottish Institute for Policing Research (SIPR), and the Stabilisation Unit (UK) will deliver a five-day course entitled ‘Policing with Communities in Fragile and Conflict Affected States’. The Course is aimed at serving police officers who are deployed in or have firm intentions to deploy to international policing missions.
It will take place at the Scottish Police College, Tulliallan Castle, Alloa, Scotland between Sunday 23rd and Friday 28th April 2017.
The overall objective of the Course is to increase participant knowledge of the connected issues and build the capabilities, understanding and skills required for effectively policing with communities in fragile and conflict affected states. In particular it will consider the role of the police mentor when working with diverse, minority and vulnerable communities, good practices in relation to engaging and working with community partners and also the development of training in fragile and post conflict affected states
